Trident Aero LLC was founded on a passion for classic aviation and the timeless lessons passed from one generation of pilots to the next. Operating a beautifully restored 1940 Piper J-3 Cub powered by a Continental 75 HP engine, Trident Aero offers a unique flight training experience in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

This aircraft was once flown by our Chief Pilot’s father, Jeff Chinlund, who cherished nothing more than safe tailwheel flying and sharing the joy of aviation with his three children. Today, Chief Pilot Adam Chinlund carries that legacy forward by teaching the same principles of confidence, discipline, and safe flying to the next generation of tailwheel aviators.
